If you like baking and cooking at home you must have reliable appliances that ensure that your efforts pay off. Especially if you have a bigger family or if you cook for groups sometimes the Waring WSC160 is perfect to use. It has 16” cooking plate and it is made of heavy duty cast-iron. To make cooking easier on the cast-iron surface it is recommended to season it with vegetable oil. This will make the cooking plate nonstick and therefore easy to clean as well. If the power is turned on after plugging in the appliance the power indicator will turn on. Set the desired temperature with the control dial to start cooking. When the right temperature has been reached there is an indicator that will turn green. In between cooking it is normal that the indicator will turn on and off due to fluctuation of the cooking temperature.
When cooking always power batter on the center of the cooking plate. Use the included stain less steel spreader to spread the batter as evenly as possible. When your crêpe is browned on the bottom side as you prefer you can use the included spatula to flip it on the other side. This might take some practice but it will be fun to do. When finished cooking also use the spatula to remove the crêpe from the plate. For better baking performance wipe off excess batter from the spreader in between crêpes. The Waring WSC160 can of course also be used to bake other flat products like wraps or pancakes. You will have to flatten the dough for your wrap or pizza first though. The cooking surface is also suitable for heating up food. This crêpe maker really is very versatile.
The Waring WSC160 comes with a solid and durable stainless steel base. For carrying and moving the appliance it has heat resistant handles and is very safe to use. For safety reasons it is equipped with a relatively short power cord. You can use an extension cord but make sure to use and appropriate one. Also the device comes with an overheating safety-feature. It will shut the crêpe maker automatically off. When so then just unplug it and let it cool down. When finished cooking turn thermostat knob to MIN and unplug the power cord. After cooling down it can be easily cleaned with warm soapy water. Use damp cloth and then dry. For the included spatula and spreader you can use the same water or just clean in dishwasher as they are dishwasher proof.
