Brother PE500 4×4 Embroidery Machine With 67 Built-in Stitches

Brother PE 500If you want to try your hand at a little bit of machine embroidery without investing tons of money in a machine, the PE 500 is the one for you. There are only 70 designs pre-loaded on the machine, but you can do monogramming in your choice of 3 different alphabet styles and acquire more designs via embroidery cards or transfer them from your pc via the cable that is included in this package. Unlike a couple of other Brother sewing machines, bobbins wind smoothly and evenly with a minimum of fuss. The largest possible size of your design is 4″ X 4″ – quite small compared to professional embroidery machines, but the PE 500 is a good machine for learning the basics of machine embroidery.

PE500 from Brother is a wow product which is advisable for beginners and it’s completely affordable and user-friendly. Easy to learn and use embroidery- the only model from Brother. If you’re trying your hands for the first time Brother PE500 is the right place for you to invest on. A career to start with a new challenge is by making sure of purchasing the right product at the right place. It has automatic stitching button and will knit your designs in minutes. It has built in designs, and LED screen for the user to view. It also provides a warranty period of 25 years which is good. But problems would lead during large embroidery working as it’s not recommended for heavy materials and huge designs. It’s not handy like a laptop or a tablet as you need to connect it through your personal computer all the time for new designs. Time consuming to knit alphabets as they are not by default. I would not recommend this product for professional designers. No doubt it’s an amazing product for starters and teenagers who are creative and love knitting. Definitely great for simple projects.

Types Of Embroidery Machines?

Computerized – Embroidery machines have come a long way since the simple sewing machines of the past. These days they are mostly computerized, which is not a bad thing since they now have the ability to help make projects much easier. You only have to select the type of stitch for your project then the on-board computer pretty much sets it up for you.

Not ony are Embroidery Machines far more advanced in features but did you know most machines also have USB’s ports? This is a great feature to look for, USB ports allow the user to easily connect the machine to a computer which is fantastic for uploading patterns and saving settings and much more…

Free Motion – The free motion embroidery machine is more for tailoring, although not computerized this type still has many uses. More suitable for advanced users as they do not have the ability to load any pre-made patterns like the computerized machine can.

What makes a Top Embroidery Machine

I personally think the perfect Embroidery Machines for you will be the one with the features and functions you plan on using it for, within the price range you have set. If your a beginner maybe start with a basic (but good brand) to get started with.

The brand should play a big part in your decision. Sometimes it is better to pay a little more for a reputable brand, this way you know your getting a quality machine, which usually comes with better support if needed, better instructions, and just better performance.

What we think?

If your a beginner or advanced try the computerized embroidery machine as they have many more options that cut the time it takes for making projects way down.

If you know what your doing and have used an embroidery machine for a while, and do not want or need all the extra functions that are included with the computerized models then stick with a good quality Free Motion Embroidery Machine.

Brother PE770 Review – Embroidery Machine with USB Memory-Stick Compatibility

December 15, 2019 by David Allen Leave a Comment

If you’re a creative person who likes to design and embellish everything from shirts to bed sheets, and at the same time, you want to use the most advanced technology to accomplish this, then the Brother PE770 Embroidery Machine is for you. With this embroidery machine, you can concentrate on being an artist and not have to worry about inconveniences, simply because modern tools are within your reach. It’s packed with features that promise to make the art of embroidery as seamless for you as possible.

If you want to create complex designs, the Brother PE770 Embroidery Machine will make it easy for you to do so. You have 136 pre-programmed patterns to choose from, and if they’re not enough for you, you can download more patterns from the internet and save them in a memory card or a USB memory stick. You’ll have an almost infinite number of design possibilities at your fingertips. This is one reason, among many others, that the Brother PE770 Embroidery Machine is our top pick among embroidery machines.

Brother PE770 Embroidery Machine Review

It’s clear from the reviews on the Brother PE770 Embroidery Machine that the majority of those who have used it are satisfied with its performance. The majority of customers gave it a 5-star rating, and they claimed that the features lived up to their expectations. Users who didn’t give the product 5 stars gave it 4 stars, and only one customer gave it a rating lower than 4.

The primary selling point of Brother PE770 among customers was the support for a memory card and a USB memory stick. This gave both expert embroiders and hobbyists the opportunity to use as many designs as they wanted to. In fact, as one reviewer stated, the possibilities of design patterns and combinations were endless because all they needed to do was search the World Wide Web for ideas, download those ideas, and store them in memory.

Another major selling point of Brother PE770 was the ease of use and clarity of instructions in the manual. A couple of reviewers even said that they didn’t need to study the instructions extensively; it was pretty easy to figure out how to use the machines themselves.

Other features that were praised were the threading and tension systems. A reviewer said thread breakage was never encountered, while another reviewer said that his wife didn’t experience any thread jams and never got frustrated because it was easy to put new thread in and remove old thread.

Yet another selling point was the touch screen LCD of the Brother PE770, although one reviewer commented that she would have preferred a colored screen, instead of the Brother PE770 Embroidery Machine’s black-and-white screen. But the same reviewer said that the issue wasn’t a big one, and she was able to bypass it by using software with color stitch-outs on her patterns.

The only complaint from the lone customer who gave the Brother PE770 Embroidery Machine a low rating was that the machine that was delivered to him was broken, and the replacement that was sent afterwards eventually broke, too. But keep in mind that this didn’t happen to other customers, so the merits (or lack thereof) of the product can’t be judged on the basis of this review alone.

The bottomline is that we think the feature-rich, easy-to-use, technologically advanced Brother PE770 Embroidery Machine is a gem. That’s why, as we told you earlier, it is our top pick among embroidery machines.

Singer Futura CE-250 Review in Details

We said the Singer Futura CE-250 strove to deliver on the promise of the Singer brand name to its customers, although based on the reviews, it didn’t succeed in pleasing every customer. Most did claim that the sewing and embroidery machine was a good product, if not an excellent one, but it can’t be denied that there were customers for whom the product just didn’t work. On one hand, the majority of users gave Singer Futura CE-250 4-star and 5-star ratings. On the other hand, there were a non-negligible number of people who gave Singer Futura CE-250 1 and 2 stars.

It’s apparent from the reviewers’ words that overall, the Singer Futura CE-250 is a functional sewing and embroidery machine with features and integrated technology that equip users with the necessary tools to create and/or embellish clothes, fulfill their duties to their clients, or produce gifts made of fabric for their loved ones or themselves. Many commented on the ease with which they learned to use it, as well as the efficiency afforded to them by its automatic tension and threading systems.

The common theme of the complaints of the negative reviews where the Singer Futura CE-250 was basically called a lemon was the erroneous “thread breakage” error message that users got the first few times they threaded the machine. They learned later on that the message was just a result of the machine’s ultra-sensitivity, and it could be avoided by learning the proper way to thread. Some users understood this and were fine with it, while others essentially just threw up their hands and decided that a working sewing and embroidery machine shouldn’t be giving erroneous error messages in any case. We must say that this complaint is understandable since that problem isn’t encountered when using machines of other models or brands.

That being said, we still see the Singer Futura CE-250 as a product we can recommend. After all, in spite of negative reviews about a quirk that some users can’t be reconciled with, it was still good enough for most customers that they were compelled to call it “wonderful,” “excellent,” a “must buy,” and “the best embroidery machine.” We can’t really argue with superlatives like those, and we believe that the Singer Futura CE-250 is worth its price.

Singer CE-150 Futura Sewing and Embroidery Machine Review

The Singer CE-150 Futura Sewing and Embroidery Machine has gotten mixed reviews, although most of those who reviewed it said they were satisfied. The majority of reviewers gave the product 5 stars, but it can’t be ignored that a large percentage of users gave it 2-star and 1-star ratings.

As a sewing machine alone, the Singer CE-150 Futura was called an excellent product that lived up to expectations. Users saw it as a solid piece of sewing equipment, and there were no complaints about its sewing capabilities and functionality.

The differing opinions among users were about the embroidery aspect of the product. As an embroidery machine, Singer CE-150 Futura pleased a lot of users, but it also left a bitter taste in a lot of other users’ mouths, so to speak.

As an embroidery machine, the Singer CE-150 Futura was recommended by those who “got the hang of it.” As a couple of reviewers stated, the machine took some getting used to when they started using it for embroidery. They had to familiarize themselves with the software.

They also had to learn the right way to thread so they wouldn’t set off the “broken thread” error that a lot of the other users found annoying and unacceptable. Those who learned the tricks, though, commented that they eventually found the product easy to use, in spite of their initial difficulties with it. FYI, said reviewers were those who gave Singer CE-150 Futura 5 stars.

Another satisfied customer, who used Embird designs, said she transitioned to firm cotton without any problems. What we gathered from her was that this transition wouldn’t be an easy feat with other machines. She gave the product 5 stars. She and most of the others who gave the same high rating also didn’t complain about the machine having to be connected externally to a computer to use it for embroidery.

Those who gave the Singer CE-150 Futura low ratings were obviously very unhappy and frustrated with it. They took the time to say that it was a good enough machine if all one wanted with it was to sew. But they warned that as an embroidery machine, it was basically a lemon. One common theme among the complaints was how unreliable the software was. Some said the Futura software didn’t work with Windows Vista and XP unless patches were downloaded and installed. And downloading and installing only worked sometimes and failed majority of the time.

The mixed reviews have prompted us to conclude that even though we can still recommend this product to some consumers, we can’t recommend it to everyone. Buy the Singer CE-150 Futura if you want a great sewing machine, and you don’t mind taking the time to learn some tricks to make it function optimally as an embroidery machine.

Singer SES1000 All-In-One Machine Review

The Singer SES1000 received only positive responses from those who reviewed it. Apparently, Singer delivered on all of what it promised this all-in-one machine would give its customers. We didn’t see ratings that were less than 5 stars. That’s a pretty impressive feat in our book.

One male reviewer said that for him, the Singer SES1000 was all it was made out to be. He claimed that he was an old man who didn’t have sewing skills but decided to start sewing as a hobby, and he was very pleased that he didn’t have a hard time learning how to use this very modern machine.

What made this particular reviewer call the machine a “great embroidery adventure” was apparently the bonus software package that added to the 3900 provided stock designs. He singled out the Autopunch software and commended it for the freedom it afforded him to change images. In his opinion, this software made the Singer SES1000 a more powerful machine.

Other reviewers called this Singer SES1000 all-in-one machine fantastic and amazing. They echoed the above mentioned male reviewer’s opinion about the Singer SES1000 being a machine that makes both sewing and embroidery very easy to do. One of them said that she had never embroidered before she got herself this product, but the user-friendliness of it enabled her to perform a function she was initially unfamiliar with.

Another user who didn’t seem to be a professional seamstress was in awe that she failed to encounter any difficulty in sewing with this all-in-one machine. This doesn’t surprise us at all, since this product is obviously rich with features to make sewing, embroidery and serging as convenient for the ordinary user as possible. In fact, we learned that it even gives users troubleshooting instructions when issues are encountered.

The only area for improvement that was mentioned was the fact that the Singer SES1000 had to be connected to an external computer to use the machine’s embroidery function. This seems to be common among Singer products that have computer support. This shouldn’t be a problem for some, although relatively, the brand pales in comparison to other machine brands that offer support for flash drives, negating the need for a computer to be nearby. But like we said, it seems that it is only in this particular aspect that the Singer SES1000 can improve.

We definitely recommend the Singer SES1000 to both aspiring and expert seamstresses and designers. After all, a product that has been called fantastic, amazing and great can’t possibly be a disappointment. Reviewers gave it 5 stars, and we’re compelled to give it 5 stars, too.
